הַתִּקְוָה HaTikvah

כֹּל עוֹד	All the more
בַּלֵּבָב פְּנִימָה	in the heart within
נֶפֶשׁ יְהוּדִי הוֹמִיָּה	A Jewish soul has been aroused
וּלְפַאֲתֵי מִזְרָח	And to eastern ends
קָדִימָה	forward
עַיִן לְצִיּוֹן	Eyeing towards Zion
צוֹפִיָּה	looking expectantly
עוֹד לֹא אָבְדָה	So yet not lost is
תִּקְוָתֵנוּ	our hope
הַתִּקְוָה בַּת	The hope born of
שְׁנוֹת אַלְפַּיִם	two thousand years
לִהְיוֹת עַם חָפְשִׁי	To be a free people
בְּאַרְצֵנוּ	in our land
אֶרֶץ צִיּוֹן	Land of Zion
וִירוּשָׁלַיִם	and Jerusalem
